In October of 2024, I was invited by the Director of the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska, Dr. Felix Olschofka, to join a delegation of music faculty from UNL on a tour of Vietnam as part of their Global Arts Academy. From October 13-20, we interacted with talented students, taught masterclasses, performed recitals, and networked with fellow music faculty in Vietnam. It was a joy to visit this beautiful country and an honor to perform with wonderful colleagues. Performance venues included the Ho Chi Minh City Music Conservatory, Erato School of Music & Performing Arts, Renaissance International School Saigon, The Olympia School, Reigate Grammar International School, and the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Interdisciplinary program included music by Gioachino Rossini, Georgia Stitt, Astor Piazzolla, Frédéric Chopin, & Dmitri Shostakovich.
