On February 12th of 2024, George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue celebrated the 100-year anniversary of its premiere in the famous “Experiment in Modern Music” concert in Aeolian Hall, New York City. To celebrate this momentous occasion, I headed west to collaborate with dear friends in Iowa and Nebraska. This celebration included three back-to-back performances of Rhapsody in Blue with Prof. Clark Potter and the Lincoln Youth Symphony, Dr. Kenneth Meints and Orchestra Omaha, and Dr. Rebecca Nederhiser and the Waverly Community Symphony.
